Sensory integration describes how the nervous system receives, organises and responds to information coming from the senses. Difficulties in this area may affect attention, movement, emotions, learning and everyday functioning.
Therapy is planned individually and uses movement, touch and carefully selected sensory experiences to support more adaptive responses. The aim is not to force the child, but to create safe conditions in which new skills can develop step by step.
